Hawaii

Aloha! My apologies for not answering my phone last week, but I was in Hawaii with my family! What a beautiful place to visit. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the places and things I saw while in Hawaii. The beautiful sunset was taken on Waikiki Beach as is the shot taken from the top of Diamond head. And of course who can resist the beautiful “bird of paradise” plants and the Banyan trees. And last is the Napali coast taken from the deck of our cruise ship.

About Carmen Carda

For as long as I can remember, I've been taking pictures. I remember getting my first camera as a kid and being amazed with the capability of transforming a single moment into a printed piece of history with a simple snap of the shutter. After many years and many photographs, I began to realize the importance of documenting life as it happens. For me, the choice to become a professional photographer was a simple one. My passion for photography is not just what I do, but who I am. I believe that my business does not need to run like everyone else runs their business. So I run it the way that I'd like it to be run if I was the client. I became established in 2003- and have become a respected, and preferred photographer for weddings, newborns, children and family portraiture in the State of South Dakota and surrounding areas. I believe real life is beautiful and that photography is one of the most important investments you can make to preserve your precious memories. I work hard to be as open as possible with you so that you can feel completely at ease making your wedding day or Portrait session a wonderful, memorable experience, just as it should be. A newborn, child or family session with me is never rushed. You will never have to feel anxious about getting anyone to smile, because each session is laid back and fun. Your child may need a hug, a snack, or even some silly time to get comfortable in front of the camera. Your newborn may need some cuddles or time to feed. And your wedding day may not run as planned but I will be right there to make it go as smoothly as possible so you can enjoy every moment of your day making it a memorable, fun experience. So please take a look at my galleries, Facebook and blog so you can get to know me through my photographs. See that I am inspired by art, design, love and people and have enough technical skill to not only be a person with a camera, but an artist who will capture the heart and soul of who you are!

Some really nice structure here in your photos. Love the portraits as well. Are you using a portrait lens? Hawaii looks gorgeous, I want to go there in September.

I know how you feel. I am already missing the peacefulness of the islands. I am hoping we can make a return trip in the future!
    Mahalo!
